About me

I am a proper book nerd, a bibliophile. I have loved stories since before I was able to read, so it is no surprise that I have been drawn to my new career as an editor and proofreader.

The story of

Tracy Lombard

I write too. Children’s books, a psychological thriller (now working on draft 2) & a blog. And no, I will not be editing my own work because, if I am honest, it will never be ready to publish.

I live in Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare’s place of birth; my birthday is the day after his, so I get to share in the celebrations that usually happen every year. Such an honour and a blast, and a very inspiring place to be a writer.

I am a certified editor & proofreader. English is my first and native language, and I also have some background working as a teaching assistant and tutor in English and Mathematics.

I have experience editing fiction and non-fiction, having worked on novels and training manuals for the hospitality industry. I have also worked on memoirs, CVs, book synopses and enquiry letters, and as I have a blog, I have experience in digital editing and proofreading.

I have entry-level membership to the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.

I use Microsoft Word to edit and track changes and offer one-to-one live editing sessions as part of my bespoke service.

Now you know a little about me. It’s time to take a look at how I can help you with one of my editorial services.

“The only end of writing is to enable readers better to enjoy life, or better to endure it.”

– Samuel Johnson
